Time for Alice

I've been wanting to play along with the Alice in Wonderland Challenge since it began and my time has come. As I recently got the Tim Holtz Alterations die "Hardware Findings" I just knew I had to play - even if I'm late to the party (link closed by the time I got this posted...)

Mojo Time (No. 138)

Busy, busy, busy... why are we all so busy nowadays? We must take time to do what's important in our lives. That being said, being creative is important to me. What about you? How do you express your creativity? What is important to you? Are you making enough time for what's important?

I am looking forward to the upcoming art workshops with Beryl Taylor and Susan Lenart Kazmar next month. Can't wait, is more like it! Three days of non-stop creativity! OK - it's Mojo time! Here's the challenge sketch:

And here's my Mojo offering for MojoMonday No. 138:

Art is back!

I am inspired! Thanks goes out to Pam Carriker and her ever present enthusiasm. I am inspired to work on my journaling again and also venturing to do my holiday cards. For those, I am inspired by Verve. I absolutely LOVE Verve stamps! One reason is that they are so versatile, another reason is that they stamp so nicely.

MojoFriday?

MojoFridayNaturally, I did not get every Mojo sketch done this past week, although I will make them all! There are some wonderful ones. Here is "MojoFriday" - a sketch by Teresa Kline that caught my eye. I did take a little liberty with the sketch as I wanted to use this stamp - I turned the sketch on it's side and omitted the bow. I double stamped this one, as I've been liking the effect lately. I love this stamp as it so closely resembles one of my favorite flowers, the butterfly orchid. I used to grow orchids and that was one of the orchids that I absolutely could not grow! Others thrived under my care, but not that one. I just love orchids and have just one left now that blooms every spring right around Easter.

Always behind...

B-Day-09-4-Marc
I just knew I wouldn't be able to keep up with the pace, especially since I was behind already. MojoMonday is three sketches ahead of me now... and I'm still working on the five Verve Anniversary Sketches. I am bound and determined to get through them all, plus the Mojo sketches! Regardless, here's another card for your enjoyment. This is for my Marc in honor of his birthday which was today! We had dinner with his Mom (pizza, of course). He really loved the card and insisted that I post it on my blog. I was strongly inspired (again) by Julie's card for the 5th sketch Verve Anniversary, with my own interpretation, of course! PS - I'm not doing them in any order. This weekend I hope to hold my self up at home and get caught up on things here. One thing I need to do is list some items on Etsy. I have a wonderful ATC card filing cabinet which I'll be listing. I've never seen anything like this before, so keep your eyes open for that. I also have flower frogs (like I and others use as a prop for card photos) so watch for those too. Who knows? Maybe some cards will end up out there too? I have people taking orders already.

In case I haven't mentioned, I just love My Mind's Eye products. I went and stocked up this weekend on their new releases. Loving the Halloween and Christmas paper! I'm using one of them here, the Ooh La La paper.

It's time for MOJO!

I'm working on an earlier start to my Mojo this week considering my usual late Sunday afternoon postings. It's been a dismal week at work for me, so it's been a treat to get away to make a card to share with you today. For whatever reason right now (see last post) I am lovin' the combo of the yellow/blue. It has such a summer feeling to it. For yellow, SU's So Saffron is a personal favorite of mine and I haven't met a blue that I didn't like. LOL!

Time for Mojo

MojoMonday_95
Running late as usual, but here's my Mojo, just in time to watch for tomorrow's sketch! One note: this is my first time stamping with Verve stamps and I love my new set, Kindred Spirits. I must say, it was amazing how quickly I received them and how beautifully they were wrapped. Excellent service from a wonderfully creative stamp company... That's what I say! You might be able to tell from my blog design and even my watermark and siggy that I'm a bit partial to fleur de lis!

Running late, so a further description will have to follow, but here's the lowdown:

Credits time:
Stamps: Kindred Spirits by Verve
Cardstock: Stampin' Up in So Safron, Baja Breeze, Black; DP: Sassafras
Necessities: Spellbinders Pendant Fleur De Lis, Fiskars Apron Lace Punch, Vintage Button, and Stampin' Up Taffeta Ribbon in Riding Hood Red
