Summer is here!

Well, I hope you've been outdoors enjoying the summer weather. I have as much as I've been able. I've been very busy indeed! I've created the Quiltedcavalier facebook page (like us - to your right!) and I've been busy working on my Etsy shop. I love Etsy. I love to shop on Etsy. It is so good to know that you're supporting a business directly when you purchase from a seller on Etsy.

My Swarovski crystal encrusted tiaras are so lovely. They are perfect for a wedding or even prom. Anytime you want that extra bling in your hair! They sparkle like a dream.

I Repeat myself

Here I go, I've listed another item on Etsy. I need to go back and explain that I will be getting married in a few months and in preparation, I had been looking at a tiara/headband for the wedding day. Now, if you know me, you know that I don't do princess. Not even Princess Katherine princess. I may be into Disney, but the typical tiara is just not me. That's not to say that I don't want to wear something beautiful or add bling to my otherwise plain hairstyle! I started searching for just the right tiara. Well, what I had in mind just wasn't out there, especially not at a reasonable price for a quality piece.  So after some experimenting with headbands, wire & Swarovski crystals (which I just love to work with) - I have created my own. So the thought occurred to me. If I couldn't find what I was looking for, maybe there are others out there searching for something similar. Henceforth the listing on Etsy.

Now I have been on Etsy since March 1, 2008. I've not sold on Etsy before, but I do have experience selling on Ebay. Being that I am going the crafted direction, Etsy makes more sense to me at this point in my life. Besides, IT'S FUN! There is so much awesome stuff on Etsy. I may not have sold before on Etsy, but I have purchased things. Some really cool things and each transaction has been a good one. My favorite seller right now is: Wild Ginger Silk. Sheila's scarves are deliciously beautiful. I am glad scarves are making a come back. I find them to be a wonderful addition to my otherwise boring "banker" suits. I love jewelry, yes. But the colorful silk scarves offered at Wild Ginger Silk add a soft splash of color.

I will follow up with more about the forthcoming wedding, but for now that's all the info you get! I have more ideas waiting to be crafted and they will soon find their way onto Etsy. Of course, I will also share more Disney and dog stories with you soon.

Enjoy,
