i will finally get my stampin up order on monday. just in time for halloween cards to go out at the last minute. i am experimenting with brushes in pse. its all very exciting to me. wish i could stay up all night to play around with it all. when i feel like getting messy, i get out my stamp pads and inks and glues, but when i don't feel like being messy (or have to be quiet because marc is asleep in the bedroom right next to the studio) i can work at the computer.

i've decided to lay out a spending plan going forward. not that i didn't have one before, but with times getting tough, i need to make sure i have money aside for the things i absolutely need it for. home repairs, major purchases and the like. the last year or two i've just gone with flow and gotten what i've wanted/needed as it came up. nows the time to step back and watch where its going before its already gone! save for a rainy day. i can do that and still be artistic/creative. i do believe artistic/creative people can be the best at making do with what they have, yet still making room in their lives to support the arts. besides, i need to save up for the new camera i'm drooling over.  

i really should head off to bed now, because i have to go in to work tomorrow. i've been so busy at work, it's just crazy. i feel like i'm making headway though, and i am blessed to have a job nowadays. being in banking especially in mortgages, i hope this economy picks up soon. i can't help but think it will get worse before it gets better.
