pretty soon

just over one week until vacation. i so need a vacation! i'm a bit more optimistic about the weather in florida the week we are there, but only time will tell if it is decent weather or not. i've got no control over that, so i will let it go. i do have control over the state of my studio, so i spent some time this morning organizing my workspace & tidying up in here. it is dog day today, which means i will be at work for the morning, then rush home to take the dogs to the dog groomer (my friend Diana) and then come back home for about two hours before i have to go back to pick the doggies up. it is two hours that i can spend on my art work, so i will take that time and use it...

i did order a new large sized suitcase from llbean. i really hate the large sized suitcase i have now. the first time i used it - it started falling apart. one of the zippers is broken on the top, so i can't use the main large pocket on the outside. it is fraying badly and i'm just afraid that one of these trips i'll go to the carousel to pick it up and my clothes will be falling out all over the place. no one needs that! i am always satisfied with products i buy from llbean. and, if i'm not - i can return it - at any time. lord knows i would've returned this other suitcase after it's first use after seeing how poor the quality was. besides, this new suitcase is about 4 pounds lighter than the old one. since i'm limited to 50 pounds without an extra charge, every pound counts. especially on the way back home. it seems you always come home with more than you leave with. i'm not planning on buying any souvenirs this time. i've got so much already. i probably will get a new trading pin... i just love pins! that's right, i have to bring my lanyard with my nbc pin collection along with me to wdw. i wear them many of the days. the lanyard is actually quite heavy right now. i'll have to get a new lanyard to start a new collection as the other one is too heavy to add to it. one or two pins, that will be my limit of souvenirs.  also charms. i have a wdw charm bracelet that i usually add one or two charms to each year. i think it's getting harder to find the charms now. are they out of style? i don't think so. i love it and i always get complements when i wear it, which is often. even at work. i need a 2008 wdw charm. ok, i guess i will be shopping for a couple of souvenirs after all. have a great day!
