needed it

i so needed a three day weekend. i think we all did. i'm feeling a lot better today. back on the singulair. not sure if that's what's helping or not, but i felt good today. can't remember the last time i felt this good. yesterday we went to the madison area. boy did we have fun! we went to the madison farmer's market. holy cow was that packed! it was very difficult to shop. we did though. we got a few flowering plants and a rose bush. we also got a few different kinds of cheese (it is wisconsin, after all), some mixed salad greens, some sausage sticks (for marc - i don't eat them), and some bees wax for my art projects. i also went to the stamp store in madison. i didn't get stamps, but a dog bone paper punch and some inks. then we went antiquing. i got some irish linen napkins, a beautifully ornate (deco) antique door latch, an antique bud vase, two cabinet cards, one tin-type photo, and this wedding photo from the 40's - this bride has the most beautiful bouquet i've ever seen! the frame for the photo is just gorgeous.

today i got the invoke rubber stamps i ordered this last week. they are speedy. i spent a good hour cutting them apart and mounting them with the cling sheets. i stamped a few of them. they make wonderful stamps. i got out today and planted the flowers i got at the farmer's market yesterday. i found a turquoise/blue/green pot at farm & fleet and put one of the flower plants in there. it looks terrific. when i watered the garden tonight, i see that i have a little baby pumpkin - probably about two inches in diameter. no patty pans yet, no tomatoes, but i do have a pepper on the pepper plant and some little tiny cucumbers. yum. can't wait for those. i love cucumbers! hope you had a terrific 4th of july too.
