sunny friday

it is always a good day if it's a sunny friday. it is so very cold outside though. way colder than it should be for this time of year. a high of less than 20 degrees is not spring. not for here, anyway. everyone i know cannot wait for spring to arrive. it has to warm up sometime. i will know spring is here when the juncos leave. then i watch for the wrens to arrive. wren is my summer companion. i have a number of wren house around my yard. i often have three of them nesting at the same time. i love watching them build their nests, take care of their babies and when they are ready, lead them from the nest and teach them to hunt for bugs in the shrubs around my home. i love waking up to the sound of wren singing. such a little bird makes such a lot of noise! plan for the weekend: make art in my studio, of course.
