deep one perfect morning

i had forgotten the about the pure pleasure of the senses. i know that sounds silly. but i was going through my cd collection since getting my new computer and deciding what to put onto my ipod and found that there were so many of my favorite songs that i didn't have loaded on my ipod because i didn't have enough room on the old computer. so i as i write this, i listen to some of that music, including "deep one perfect morning" by the jesus and mary chain. how appropriate is that? i am inspired this morning. too bad i have to go to work! oh well, i will try to put it to good use there. i do so wish i could use it creatively for my arts and crafts, but i do have the 9 to 5 obligation. i am not the only one out there - i know i'm not! sometimes i feel like it when i read the art magazines. it is my personal challenge. everyone has one. if i didn't have that as my challenge, it would be something else. working affords me the capital to spend on my art passions.

speaking of which, yesterday i did splurge and order a nice little epson scanner and printer. the printer is a 1400 - so it will print up to 13" x 19" size photos. how cool is that? very... i need versatility to do what i want with this digital photography. i didn't know if marc would be unhappy with me or not with getting these - but he seemed happy. i know he'll use them too. he likes photography too. i need the scanner to image items (i collect just about anything that will fit in my pocket such as feathers, rocks, leaves...) and then i've got all the family photos going back generations and old negatives and slides. he has a lot too. just need time to work on it now. i've got to stop saying that and just do it! i give myself the tools. i'm taking the classes necessary. no excuses. time is there.

i am making arrangements to go to canada/upstate new york in the early fall this year. can't wait. i love it out there. my aunt wants me to come out for a visit. we were there two years ago. i just love that area of the country. it is so beautiful. we have to make some stops at the vineyards in the niagara area of ontario. yum. love wine. ice wine especially. it is like a fine dessert. i am also looking into going to disneyland either around christmas time this year or next. i just have to get my "nightmare before christmas" (nbc) fix. a friend from work went there last year and he says i just have to go, since i love nbc so much. just love alll things tim burton, but especially that movie. time for work now. gotta pay the bills ya know.
