new camera?

i am considering getting a new camera. not just any camera, but an slr. the canon rebel xsi is what has caught my eye. i have researched various cameras and the rebel xsi keeps coming to the top of my list. so - i've decided to save up some money over the next couple of months and see if a REALLY good deal comes along on it for the holidays. everyone is predicting substantial sales discounts for the holidays. we shall see if this camera comes down to decent price for me. 

in the meantime: i am working on digital techniques and layouts. it's so much fun! i am learning so much in pse. it is just amazing actually, how much you can do in pse. maybe when i'm more proficient in pse i'll consider upgrading to full photoshop. that will be quite awhile though!

i've been working on a number of layouts. i will post a gallery within a few days for viewing. 

should get back into the stamping and cardmaking, especially with the holidays coming up. birthday cards too. still waiting for my stampin up halloween stamps. sometimes it takes so long to get the stampin up orders. yikes. i like everything instantaneously - that's probably why i like digital scrapbooking so much! no patience... 

also, i will be participating in this dia de bloglandia! for the day of the dead on november 2nd. i'm very excited. i've started working on something in the digital realm. check back on 11/2 for the results. 

relax

marc and i had so much fun last saturday. we went to my friend julie's house which is on the lake. we went out on the boat and she showed us around the lake. the weather was absolutely beautiful. it was the first chance in a long time that we've experienced a relaxing day. we were out on the lake for quite awhile and even spotted the blue huron in the photo. then we went back to her house and grilled dinner. it was a very fun time for all of us. 

tomorrow is the day they are supposed to start working on our roof. that won't be so relaxing. i'm worried about jac - he hates noise and it will be very noisy all day. i'm going to put him and guinness in their crates and put them in the basement. hopefully it won't be so loud for them then. i'll be so glad when this is over. i'm also looking forward to the three day weekend coming up. of course, hurricane season is in full swing in florida. i'm very worried about the weather, but there's nothing i can do about it. what happens, happens.
