my kingdom for some spare time! it was a hectic week and the weekend was no different. again, too much to do and too little time. marc insisted on going to the last flea market at elkhorn (wisconsin). of course i found things! we got not one, but two cow waterers (again with the farm stuff!). they are really cool, very old. it is a cast iron bowl about 15" round that has a pedal looking attachment that the cow would push on with his nose to dispense water. we are going to mount them on galvanized pipe and put them outside as birdie baths. in addition, i got some more watch/watch parts for projects. i also found a cabinet card that is quite wonderful. need to scan it and use it in my art work. many ideas flowing in my head right now. i see stampin up has some wonderful new halloween stamps. may need to order them. actually, i do believe i will do that as soon as i'm done with my post.
currently, i am in the midst of doing four loads of laundry, dishes (thank god for dishwashers, washing machines and dryers), amusing the doggies who want treats and attention, winding down from the day with a homemade strawberry/lime/mint mojito (thank god for mojitos!) and then will sit down to read my latest digital scrapbooking magazine. i'm into the digital scrapbooking AGAIN right now. dealing with the walt disney world vacation photos, some of which i'll share of the next few posts. i do like my camera well enough (panasonic) but it is big and bulky to lug around so frequently it is not available when i need it. i am looking at getting a canon elph. i had one before and loved it. i would get the new version. just need $ to lay out for it. always something else to spend money on...
friday i went to a former co-workers funeral. goran raspudic. a wonderful man. i miss him so at work. it has not been the same since he left. he was 60 and had battled cancer for the past few years. we've lost so many at my work to cancer. hopefully it is not a trend. rest in peace, goran - you are missed!
