today i had a celebration at work for one of my co-workers, Janis Bertagnolli. it was her 30th anniversary working for the bank. i cannot even imagine that. i have been there 12 years and that seems like forever. we had lunch, cake & drinks and we all pitched in for flowers - a beautiful HUGE bouquet. she was very happy. happier than i think i've ever seen her there. it was well deserved. i gave her a "panic button" that when you push it, it says in a cartoon-like voice "stay calm, stay calm...." she just loved it. she likes things like that. i got it at hallmark. i saw it there the other day. i saw they also had some nightmare before christmas items - a candle holder in particular. can't afford it! saving $$$ for trip and always need $$$ for art supplies. i am eyeing up some stampington stamps now. it's always something...
as summer winds down to an end over the next couple of weeks, i find myself looking forward to fall. whenever someone asks me what is my favorite season, the answer is the next one coming up. i look forward to the change in seasons. fall is one of my favorites too because it is the start of the holiday season. as i've written before, halloween is a favorite time of year for me. i am really looking forward to my upcoming trip to disney next month just in time for the "not so scary halloween party." i can't wait! i hope the weather cooperates when we are there. right now they are getting dumped on with rain. i have all the luck (joke) so who knows what i'm in store for.
