today i had the honors of attending the first north american tenshug in madison. this is the long life ceremony for the 14th dalai lama. last year i attended his teachings, but this year i was unable to attend the teachings, which have gone on all week. i did not want to miss the tenshug today. it was very interesting. i have a great respect for the courage and tenacity of the tibetan people. probably over half of the audience today was tibetan. there were people from all over the world in attendance.
afterwards, as i was in madison already, i stopped by my favorite stamp store in madison. of course, i got a couple of things, including some stamps. :) now i'm going to work on some projects for a little bit before marc gets home. wish i had taken tomorrow off too for an extra long weekend. oh well. i've got tons to do at work tomorrow. the weekend is just a day away.
