cloudy tuesday

i received my invoke arts rubber stamps today. i do so like them. i also got my copy of cloth paper scissors "studios" issue. i just love seeing how other artists work. everyone has their own style, just like their art work. seeing how they arrange their workspaces gives me ideas for how best to arrange mine. i think my studio's pretty well arranged, though. it is in my basement, which is finished. i only wish i had bigger windows to view outside. i have a large enough space though. i need it for all i do. and i wish i had running water down there. i have to take a portable supply with me and go up to the kitchen to wash out brushes. i do my fabric dyeing in the laundry room. of course i make the dogs leave the area first. i don't want them exposed to that. 

speaking of which, i'll have to get more pfd fabric. i usually get it from prochemical. i do have a lot of dye chemicals. i got them at the quilt show in chicago last year. i do wish i could go again this year, but money is tight this year with my upcoming trip to canada/new york. i can't wait. i might bring my dog, jac. i want to, we'll have to see. guinness will go visit my friend, julie and her dog, meeka. if i can't bring jac, he will go with guinness to julie's. i like to expose him to traveling. he handles it well, but if they never go anywhere, they don't like to travel. he's pretty well adjusted. stubborn as all get out. i took them to a new vet this past week. i like them a lot. i'll put a link on my blog to their site. best friends veterinary clinic. they are very thorough. they go back in a couple weeks for a booster shot and bean goes with them for her shots. critters' day out. can't wait. 

today was rather dreary. not rainy though like yesterday was. just cloudy. cool. hopefully the sun and warmth are around the corner for us. i need to work outside in the garden. so much to do. 

i have my photoshop elements 6 installed, but haven't had a chance to really play around with it. i do love the fact that it launches right away. the pe4 took forever to start up and open. i'll have to uninstall it, i guess. i'll wait for now. pe6 looks really cool too. i have to figure out where everything is. my pe class on monday nights is helping. the class moves along really slowly, but is turning out to be helpful. i guess i'll have to consider the advanced class this fall.
